Stanmore Resources is an Australian company with operations and exploration projects in the Bowen and Surat basins. Our corporate office is located on Turrbul and Jagera Country, on the banks of Meanjin, while our mining leases sit within Barada Barna, Jangga and Widi country.

Stanmore Resources is one of Australia’s largest suppliers of metallurgical coals to global markets with four major coal-producing assets, including the South Walker Creek, Poitrel, Isaac Plains Complex and Millennium Complex coal mines.

We have a strong track record of performance in developing, operating and rehabilitating coal resources to produce predominantly export metallurgical coal for steel making.

Our interests in four mines with shared operating infrastructure within a ~50-kilometre radius, in the heart of the Bowen Basin, creates the ability to increase production with limited development and ramp-up risk. Together, these long-life, world-class assets have a combined 13 million tonnes of annual metallurgical coal production capacity1.

In addition to our operations and development projects, we have a portfolio of more than 2,000km2 of highly prospective, granted exploration tenements located in Bowen and Surat basins, including:

  • Wards Well
  • Isaac Plains South
  • Isaac Plains Underground
  • The Range
  • Belview
  • Lilyvale
  • Mackenzie
  • Clifford.

Stanmore Resources is an Australian incorporated public company, listed on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX) in 2009, with a supportive major shareholder in Golden Energy and Resources Pte. Ltd (GEAR, formerly Golden Energy and Resources Limited).
